NHL - Dallas Wins Again??!!
The Dallas Stars continue to dominate the Oilers, be it preseason, regular season or playoffs the Oilers can't seem to buy a win against Dallas. The Oilers actually lead 3-2 after the first period in which Dallas out shot Edmonton 13-12. Jerret Stoll scored twice, collecting his 2nd and 3rd goals of the preseason, in the opening frame for Edmonton and Rob Schremp got his first of the preseason.
The second period saw Dallas completely dominate Edmonton as they out shot the Oilers 10-3, Todd Harvey got the only goal for the Oilers midway through the period.
The Oilers and Stars started the 3rd period tied at 4-4, but as always Modano, Guerin and Arnott proved to be too much as all three players were in on both goals that Dallas scored as they won the game 6-4 and out shot the Oilers 11-7 in the third and 34-22 overall in the game.
This game marks 3 games in a row that the Oilers have not won in regulation time. In goals for the Oilers were Jeff Drouin-Deslauriers, who stopped 14 of 18 shots, and Devan Dubnyk, who came in at the 12:29 mark of the 2nd period, stopping 14 of the 16 shots he faced.
